About Us
The Adekunle Oyedepo Foundation, founded by Prince Adekunle Oyedepo as a Non-Governmental, Non-Religious, Non-partisan and Not-for-profit Organization, established to impact the lives of the younger generation by supporting basic education, educating the youths on the harms of social vices and making life a better place for the people through empowerment, relevant sensitization programs and training.
With the belief that we cannot leave it all to government to provide solutions to the challenges in our community, it is important for individuals to contribute their quota in human development, and providing adequate support for those in need.
To achieve these, the foundation is focusing on, but not limited to 3 key areas: Education, Health and Social Welfare, which is identified as the areas where meaningful impact can be made.
The Foundation is located in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.
Objectives
- To draw up a strategic execution work plan to touch the lives of people positively.
- Support and encourage entrepreneurial and creative skills for youths through empowerment schemes using the Equipment, Training and Support (ETS) strategy.
- To introduce a kaizen approach in meeting the needs of the people.
- To partner with NGOs and other international organisations with akin objectives.
The Founder
Prince Adekunle Oyedepo is an influential businessman, philanthropist, and politician, born on 22nd November in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital. He hails from Omu-Aran in Irepodun local government area of the State. The young Prince Adekunle received his primary school education at Olumawu Nursery and Primary School, Ilorin before proceeding to the Federal Government College, Ilorin, where he had his Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 2000.
In 2002, he gained admission to the prestigious University of Ilorin and bagged a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2006. Prince Adekunle was subsequently posted to Ogun State for the one year mandatory National Youth Service, and served at the State House of Assembly in Abeokuta.
On completion of his youth service in 2007, he joined the family business, Olad Investment Nigeria Ltd, a commodity business company located in Ilorin, where he worked in the capacity of a manager for about three years.
Prince Adekunle’s quest to gather more knowledge made him travel to the United Kingdom in 2010. He attended the University of Bedfordshire in Luton, England, where he earned a Master of Science (MSc) in International Business and Management. This educational background has equipped him with a deep understanding of global and local economic landscapes, informing his approach to both business and politics.
As the founder of The Adekunle Oyedepo Foundation, he is dedicated to uplifting underserved communities, an endeavor that reflects his commitment to social progress. This philanthropic drive mirrors his political ethos, reinforcing his belief in opportunity and inclusivity as transformative forces for societal change.
Prince Adekunle’s political career is characterized by his drive to promote economic growth and social welfare. In the political arena, he applies the strategic thinking that he honed in business to navigate complex policy environments and advocate for his constituents.
